'Neither the design, lighting or indeed venue could be more atmospheric. The entire, in-the-round piece plays out on a stage by designer Tim Yip (of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon fame) that resembles the stub of a 30-foot-wide tree-trunk, sawn through just above the ground. Smoke rises insistently through cracks in it, filling the entire space, while Michael Hulls’s lighting is as beautiful as it is meticulous, never better than when it is framing the performers in a kind of luminous cage.'
Mark Monahan, The Telegraph

'Its sections heaving with subterranean gusts and fires produced by lighting wizard Michael Hulls.'
Ismene Brown, The Spectator
